Make your own chocolate covered strawberries

When I first started my blog, I wrote about how to make these and wanted to do it again because it's fun! Also a fun desert to make with your kids.

So first wash the strawberries that you want to use

Wash them and then dry them off or let them dry, because if they are wet, then the chocolate won't stick on the strawberries.

So next you will need to fill a bowl with some chocolate chips. You can find them at most grocery stores in the baking isle.

You will need to put the bowl in the microwave for about 30 to 40 seconds depending on your microwave. When you take them out they should look like the picture above. Half melted. Start mixing them right away,  if they still seem hard to mix, put them back in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Then that should do the trick.
FYI: Do not put the chocolate chips in the microwave longer than 30 seconds at a time, they will burn and catch on fire.

Next you will start dipping your strawberries in the chocolate. It's not as easy as it looks. But it's still fun.

And now you have your final product! Mine are not perfect as I am not a professional but it was yummy and saved me a ton of money. Keep practing and when you are good at it, you can make some to take to your next party!

Have fun!
